Position Overview
We are seeking a Tax Manager – Individual Tax Services to deliver high‑quality compliance, planning, and consulting services to internal clients. This role is ideal for a seasoned individual tax professional seeking career growth without the pressures of a traditional tax busy season. You will serve as a trusted advisor to approximately 75 clients, lead multiple engagements, build technical expertise, and mentor team members in a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment.
What You Will Do
- Provide individual tax compliance, planning, and consulting services to internal clients.
- Review complex individual tax returns and all supporting documentation.
- Lead multiple engagements delivering proactive, strategic tax planning.
- Apply new technical developments to complex situations to enhance client service.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for approximately 75 clients.
- Participate in firm‑wide learning programs and invest in ongoing professional development.
- Support team development through mentoring, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law, or related business discipline; Master’s or advanced degree preferred.
- CPA or EA required.
- 8+ years of experience in individual tax return review and planning for high‑net‑worth individuals.
- Multi‑state individual tax compliance experience, including composite, withholding, and pass‑through entity tax.
- Experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a professional services environment.
- 2+ years of supervisory, mentoring, or team leadership experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and communication skills.
- High proficiency with CCH Axcess, PDFlyer, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.
