Overview
Salesforce Professional Services is looking for a Technical Architecture Director. As a Technical Architecture Director, you will be serving as a strategic advisor and Salesforce product and platform expert to the company's largest, most complex enterprise customers.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the client
- Identify and lead internal strategic initiatives to grow the consulting practice; contribute to the community's knowledge base and expertise
- Guide customers and colleagues in deploying emerging technologies that drive increased business value
- Collaborate with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and directly with clients to architect technology solutions that meet client needs
- Review and correct project/program direction, approach, and key artifacts to keep programs on track and extendable
- Lead Technical Architecture and Governance for an enterprise-level customer engagement
- Contribute to a program vision and advise on enabling technologies including the Salesforce Platform
- Identify and proactively manage risk and drive issues to resolution
- Manage customer expectations and negotiate solutions with customers and third-party partners
Minimum Requirements
- TS/SCI - Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance
- 15+ years enterprise architecture or consulting experience
- Strong application design skills with data, integration, and security architecture expertise
- Strong presentation skills; able to present and defend a point of view to diverse audiences
- Detail-oriented with ability to rapidly learn new concepts, business models, and technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent listening and collaboration abilities across diverse roles
- Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration
- Resourceful and innovative thinker able to solve problems
- 2-4 years of experience leading and managing people

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline; equivalent work experience considered
- Ability to convey best practices to customers at various levels within a large organization
- Application design and development background
- CTA certification or in progress
- Experience managing large full life-cycle Salesforce implementations
- Executive presence to influence outcomes
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM)
Preferred Qualities: LEADERSHIP: Self-aware and relational; THOUGHT LEADER: Strong point of view and executive presence.
This position requires U.S. citizenship (no dual citizenship) and completion of a U.S. federal government Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) for a Moderate Public Trust position. This position requires a USA TS/SCI with Polygraph security access level.
Compensation and Benefits
In the United States, compensation is determined by location, job level, knowledge, skills, and experience. Some roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits. Salesforce offers benefits including time off, medical, dental, vision, mental health support, parental leave, life and disability insurance, 401(k), and an employee stock purchase program. Washington D.C. base salary range: $211,500 to $306,600.
