On‑Call IT Field Technician Location: Multiple U.S. Cities (Onsite Support) Job Type: Independent Contractor (1099) | Pay: $35/hour (on‑site) | Schedule: Flexible – accept jobs based on your availability. About The Role We’re hiring field IT technicians to support residential and small business customers. You’ll troubleshoot PCs and Macs, resolve network issues, and repair or configure printers and scanners. Work independently, dispatch to customer sites, and complete service calls efficiently and professionally. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair hardware/software issues on Windows and macOS systems Resolve boot errors, OS issues, and login problems Set up or troubleshoot Wi‑Fi and wired internet connections Replace or upgrade hardware (HDD, RAM, cooling fans, etc.) Configure or connect printers and scanners (Canon, HP, Brother, etc.) Address common printer error codes (e.g., ink absorber, paper feed, connectivity) Perform general maintenance on multifunction printers (MFPs) Reinstall operating systems using bootable USBs or recovery media Install remote tools or shortcuts as requested Communicate clearly with customers and provide basic post‑service support Document service visits and raise complex issues as needed Requirements 2+ years of field IT support experience, including computer and printer work Familiarity with Canon, HP, and other common printer brands Knowledge of error code troubleshooting (e.g., Canon 1700, boot issues, driver conflicts) Experience with both Windows (10/11) and macOS troubleshooting Must have personal tools (bootable USB, screwdriver set, etc.) Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license Smartphone with camera and data for documentation and communication Ability to work independently and maintain a professional demeanor Benefits $35 per hour for on‑site time Flexible scheduling – accept only the jobs that match your route and availability National brand recognition and continuous job offers Dispatch and tech support team available to assist remotely What to Expect After You Apply Intro Call – A recruiter will contact you for a quick chat Onboarding – Complete paperwork and tax forms electronically Background Check – Mandatory before activation Set Your Availability – Enter your availability in our tech portal Start Receiving Jobs – Dispatch jobs based on proximity & skills Join Our Technician Network If you’re a reliable, tech‑savvy field technician with hands‑on printer experience and a flexible schedule we love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
