Pawlicy Advisor
About the Company
We believe it should be easy for pet parents to do the right thing. At Pawlicy Advisor, personalized advice from the most trustworthy experts ensures pets get the best care possible.
Pawlicy Advisor is a fast-growing venture-backed startup focused on helping pet owners find the right financial solutions for their pets, starting with pet insurance. Pet insurance’s popularity is growing rapidly as pet owners seek protection from the high cost of veterinary care. Pawlicy’s pet insurance marketplace takes into account a pet’s breed-specific health risks to help people find the right policy for their pet.
Pawlicy markets to pet parents through a number of channels, but the partners we value the most are veterinarians. Veterinarians want their clients to have pet insurance because it increases that chance a pet parent will be able to afford the cost of treatment, but vets don’t know what providers to recommend, and don’t want the liability associated with recommending a specific brand. Pawlicy Advisor helps thousands of vet offices across the US by simplifying the treatment financing conversation.
Pawlicy has provided more than one million unique quotes to users and is in the midst of significant growth opportunities as product market fit has been established and the company is focused on exciting new offerings and product experiences to increase conversion.
About the Role Pawlicy is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our early‑stage team and help Pawlicy bring transparency to pet health.
As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll be joining a tight‑knit product & engineering team composed of a Head of Product, Director of Engineering, five rockstar Software Engineers, product designer and data analyst. You will own Pawlicy’s product roadmap guiding strategic outcomes directly and interacting with the entire company to help drive conversion and revenue for the business.
This job is perfect for an experienced product manager who thrives in a startup environment and is willing to operate in the weeds and be comfortable with large ownership.
The expectation is that you will be the lead product manager, setting and communicating the product roadmap throughout the company while being data‑driven. You will become an expert across all domains of the company and understand our users and pain points and how to solve those pain points at a high level.
Location: New York City (full time position, in‑office required four days per week) Responsibilities
Run A/B Test experiments from discovery to implementation, analyze results and determine next steps for future tests

Implement agile best practices and help lead scrum ceremonies where applicable
Own the product backlog and consistently refine, add to, and prioritize tasks for engineering
Collaborate closely with company leadership, engineering, data, marketing, and other teams to drive outcomes through operational excellence
Take on the responsibility of OKR creation and success of product related goals (e.g., conversion, revenue per visitor, NPS)
Become an expert in the pet insurance domain and work closely with our key insurance partners
5-7 years of experience as a Product Manager in a fast‑paced (e.g., Series A‑B startup) continuous development environment
Proven track record shipping 0→1 products
Experience optimizing and driving conversion in a B2B2C platform or marketplace
Proven track record of running A/B tests and analyzing results
A passion for user research and the ability to deeply understand users

How large are you as a business?
At the time this job post was written, we’re 20. In 2026 we expect to be closer to 25-30. Happy to talk more about it in person but below are few stats to get you excited:
1000’s of veterinarians are using our product every day to help educate their clients about treatment financing options
We account for a meaningful percentage of the total pet insurance sold in the US
We’ve raised >$19M in venture capital to date
How does Pawlicy Advisor make money?
We're a licensed insurance agency so we get paid a commission by the pet insurance company when we help pet parents buy a plan for their pet. These commissions are already priced into the cost of pet health insurance so they’re not paying extra to work with us.
