As a Principal Digital Transformation Strategist within WGA Advisors’ Pharmaceutical and MedTech industry practice, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating and executing innovative digital transformation strategies, profoundly impacting the success and prosperity of WGA’s clients. In this multifaceted and client-focused position, you will leverage extensive experience in shaping and implementing transformative strategies across various functions, including Sales and Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Operations, Human Resources, IT, Legal, Quality Assurance, and Logistics. Responsibilities

Digital Transformation Strategy Design and Execution: Create and execute comprehensive, industry-leading digital transformation strategies, precisely tailored to address the unique demands and opportunities within the Pharmaceutical and MedTech sector. Craft and oversee the digital transformation roadmap, ensuring it aligns with the client’s overarching strategic vision. Functional Expertise: Demonstrate mastery in designing and implementing highly customized digital solutions for Sales and Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Operations, Human Resources, IT, Legal, Quality Assurance, and Logistics. Develop actionable, business-oriented recommendations for each function. Integration Excellence: Ensure the seamless integration of digital transformation solutions into enterprise systems, with a focus on SAP S/4HANA. Maximize operational efficiency, data integrity, and cross-functional alignment. Client Engagement and Relationship Management: Collaborate with the client to understand objectives, constraints, and challenges. Build trust and provide strategic guidance and recommendations aligned with the client’s long-term vision. Leadership and Team Mentorship: Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment. Ensure successful delivery of projects, meeting or exceeding client expectations. Thought Leadership and Industry Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and strategic insights to facilitate the client’s digital transformation journey. Operations and Supply Chain Transformation: Drive the digital transformation of Operations and Supply Chain topics within the Operations, Commercial & International team. Shape and lead a portfolio of projects and change initiatives to enhance the client’s operations, logistics, and international supply chain network. Risk Mitigation: Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate potential risks associated with digital transformation initiatives. Safeguard project success through prudent risk management practices. Quality Assurance and Best Practices: Oversee and enforce high standards of deliverable quality and compliance with industry best practices. Foster a culture of excellence within the team. Business Partnership and Transformation Prioritization: Forge strong business partnerships with Logistics, Operational, and International functions. Ensure digital transformation aspects of their strategy are driven forward. Portfolio Development: Develop and manage a prioritized portfolio of transformation initiatives with assigned business leaders, including strategic, compliance, and continuous improvement (CI/BAU) projects. Third-Party Management: Select and manage third-party partners to provide advice and assess their digital offerings, ensuring alignment with the overall digital transformation strategy. Business Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with business stakeholders to capture requirements for digitization and ensure their needs are integrated into the digital strategy. Business Strategy Alignment: Align and cascade business objectives, imperatives, and KPIs into digital counterparts. Digital Strategy Development: Develop a digital strategy business case and ROI, ensuring a clear justification for the digital transformation initiatives. Operating Model Design: Design the digital strategy management function operating model and reporting structure, establishing clear accountability and governance. Design Thinking Workshops: Lead digital strategy design thinking workshops with various stakeholders to foster collaboration and innovative thinking. Benchmarking and Learning: Lead benchmarking activities to distill lessons learned based on the industry and the client’s situation. Alignment with National Priorities: Ensure alignment with national digitization priorities and regulatory trends. Digital Initiatives Definition: Define digital strategy initiatives and programs that realize the digital objectives, linking strategy to actionable projects. Stakeholder Buy-In: Socialize the digital strategy for business and technical stakeholders to secure buy-in and commitment to the transformation journey. Change Management: Design a digital change management strategy to drive adoption and benefits realization. Trusted Advisory Role: Act as a trusted advisor for the client in all aspects related to digital strategic planning, providing expert guidance and insights. Executive Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with the client’s executive management, fostering collaboration and understanding. Qualifications

Master’s degree in a relevant field (MBA or advanced degree preferred). A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in management consulting, with a specific focus on digital transformation in the Pharmaceutical and MedTech industry the past 7 years. A proven track record in designing, implementing, and measuring the success of digital transformation strategies across multiple functional areas. Expertise in the seamless integration of digital solutions into enterprise systems, such as SAP S/4HANA. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex issues and craft innovative solutions. Outstanding project management capabilities, with the skill to orchestrate multifaceted, high-impact projects. Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills. Strong ability to foster and maintain robust client relationships, coupled with deep empathy for client needs. A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory and compliance requirements that govern the Pharmaceutical and MedTech sectors. Compensation

Base Salary: $280,200-$312,000/year (DOE) Annual Performance Bonus Company Background
