Spire South Bank Hospital is recruiting for a part time General Radiographer on a Fixed term contract for 12 months. This

role would suit a experienced Radiographer who wants to take their career to the next level. Our team offers a variety of Imaging procedures such as X-ray, CT, MRI, Mammography, theatre cases, MSK, Breast, GI, Gynae, MRCP and Neuro to name a few.

Main duties of the job Duties and responsibilities

To be part of a team delivering high quality, efficient radiographic service. To provide highly skilled and specialised imaging for patients, to make informed decisions on the diagnostic imaging required and to demonstrate a professional, caring and responsible approach to the duties carried out

To ensure the team delivers effective imaging by providing appropriate clinical leadership, educational and development expertise.

To be responsible for the standard of own imaging work and that of other supervised radiographers and students: This standard will be that set by Spire.

To ensure that Clinical Governance and risk management are embedded within daily practice.

Job responsibilities Who we're looking for:

A Diploma or Degree in Radiography and is registered with the HCPC.

Experience of providing image guidance in theatre, in addition to general X-ray imaging.

A willingness to participate in a flexible rota for evening and weekend duties, plus on-call from home.

Strong communication skills and a good standard of IT skills.

A caring nature with the ability to see each patient as an individual, and to carry out the role with understanding and empathy.

A positive and flexible attitude

Ideally, at least 1 year post qualification experience.

A relevant, UK recognised postgraduate award or certificate of competence in Mammography is desirable but not essential.

Contract type : 12 Month Fixed Term Contract / 30 hours per week. This would be 1 in 4 weeks, including 1 in 4 weekends.
