Automotive Service Advisor – Integrity Payments
Jim Vreeland Ford is seeking an automotive service advisor to deliver an outstanding service experience to customers needing vehicle repair and/or modification. The role is customer‑focused, working closely with sales and marketing to act as a knowledge expert on Ford vehicles, maintenance, accessories and insurance options.
Job Summary As a Service Advisor, you will assist customers with new vehicle delivery, ordering parts, and providing follow‑up. Your organizational and communication skills will ensure customer needs are met efficiently.
Responsibilities
Initiate automotive services and repairs by determining performance problems and requested services.
Verify warranty and service contract coverage, develop estimates, write repair orders, and maintain customer rapport and records.
Diagnose automotive problems by listening to customer descriptions, conducting inspections, and performing test drives.
Prepare cost estimates, calculate customer payments including deductibles, and obtain approval signatures.
Enter repair orders into the service database system.
Explain estimates, expected vehicle return, and coordinate towing or temporary transportation.
Maintain accurate records of problems, corrective actions, and customer communication.
Participate in continuing education and review manufacturer publications to keep knowledge current.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; previous automotive or hospitality experience highly desirable.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency with computers.
Bilingual in Spanish is highly desirable but not required.
Job Type Full‑time – hourly wage plus commissions.
Salary $40,000 and up; hourly wage plus commissions on work performed.
