As a Construction Scheduler, you will be working in the industrial sector where you will be responsible for scheduling complex construction projects, including equipment installations, structural steel support construction, process piping installation, earth work, and civil foundations and pilings.

What you’ll be doing: You will serve as a crucial member of the project team, working closely with superintendents, project managers, estimators, and field leadership to create, plan, schedule, monitor, and control all project activities to provide transparency in the work.

Construction Schedulers at Harder perform the following daily tasks:

Work with internal and external construction teams to manage weekly updates, including 3-week and 6-week look‑ahead schedules

Produce reports including but not limited to PAS, Float Trend, Resource Graphs, and schedule health reports

Understand and analyze WBS structure and implement and navigate proper schedule structures

Utilize pull planning and the last planner process to optimize scheduling

Develop indicators for internal and external stakeholders

Advise and monitor critical pathways using advanced project management software such as Primavera P6

Proactively gather necessary project data to represent the progress of the project deliverables

Alert the project management team in the event of any major deviations from the project schedule

Provide expert guidance and assistance to resolve complex project control issues, interface with clients, attend regular meetings, and present relevant reports

Utilize extensive knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction terminology to develop and maintain critical path logic networks, leveraging historical data for future planning and forecasting.

Additional tasks as needed and assigned by the project team

What you will need to be successful in this role:

Previous experience with Primavera (P6) scheduling software

Ability to develop and maintain a properly phased and logic tied P6 construction schedule

Expertise in Microsoft Excel

Extreme attention to detail

Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks on an ongoing basis

High level of organization

Ability to consistently meet deadlines

Comfortable in construction environments

Ability to analyze data to make informed decisions

Capable of adapting quickly to changes in project scope

Education/Experience:

5+ years of experience in construction scheduling, preferably in a fast‑paced environment

Microsoft Certified Professional is a plus
