Summit’s Team is inspired to touch and help change lives through our clinical studies in oncology, including multiple global Phase 3 studies. For example:

Non‑small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)

– HARMONi, HARMONi‑3, HARMONi‑7 studies evaluating ivonescimab with chemotherapy or as monotherapy.

Colorectal Cancer (CRC)

– HARMONi‑GI3 study evaluating ivonescimab in combination with chemotherapy.

Ivonescimab is an investigational therapy not approved by any regulatory authority other than China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). Summit is headquartered in Miami, Florida, with additional offices in California, New Jersey, the UK, and Ireland.

Overview of Role Associate Director, Global Logistics

will lead and optimize logistics operations and warehousing (3PLs) focusing on product security, quality compliance, and cost optimization. This role manages carriers, transport partners, inventory at 3PLs, and global shipments ensuring timely, reliable delivery while continuously improving processes. It involves tactical and strategic oversight, supplier relationship management, and adherence to product security and regulatory standards across the entire supply chain.

Roles And Responsibilities

Develop and execute cold‑chain logistics strategies with product security, chain of custody management, and quality compliance, ensuring cost efficiency.

Oversee end‑to‑end shipping (frozen and refrigerated), storage at 3PLs, inventory control, and chain‑of‑custody matters for domestic and international needs.

Build relationships and negotiate contracts with transportation partners and 3PLs, collaborating with procurement.

Lead and execute shipping validation strategies for commercial shipping lanes.

Drive process‑improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and resolve issues.

Ensure adherence to regulations (cGMP, GDP, etc.), manage risk assessments, and develop mitigation plans. Implement SOPs and work instructions to improve logistics performance.

Stay current with industry trends and evolving regulatory standards to ensure compliance and alignment with best practices.

Potentially manage people.

Perform any other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education & Specialized Knowledge

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related pharmaceutical field.

Preferred MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.

8–10 years of global supply‑chain management experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech area, with specific cold‑chain shipping/logistics and warehousing expertise.

Extensive experience managing a logistics team.

Strategic and tactical experience with third‑party manufacturers (CMOs), shipments, and logistics providers, ensuring quality standards and on‑time delivery.

Deep understanding of regulatory and compliance standards (cGMP, GDP, shipping validation, other global regulations).

Experience establishing logistics processes for shipment requests, execution, tracking, and governance, including SOPs and work instructions.

Strong experience managing global teams and driving cross‑functional collaboration.

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven approach.

Expertise in creating and executing shipping validation strategies and reviewing approval reports.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Compensation:

The pay range for this role is $158,000–$185,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience depth, certifications, and work location. The total compensation package may also include bonus, stock, benefits, and other variable compensation.
