Responsibilities
Provide overall on‑site administrative and technical management of assigned projects.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of employees during installation of low‑voltage cabling and associated systems within commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
Ensure all on‑site personnel comply with all policies & procedures so the project is completed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
Possess mechanical and technical skills to perform installation tasks as required within the project scope of work.
Oversee production and safety pre‑planning to identify goals and methods related to project progress and to eliminate hazards.
Assume responsibility for productivity, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
Perform all aspects of the job including cable installation, termination, and testing.
Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with all team members and project stakeholders.
Uphold safety as a number one priority, regarding quality as number two.
Proficient knowledge in certification testing and troubleshooting of both copper and fiber optic cabling using Fluke Versiv DSX.
Qualifications
Membership in the IBEW with applicable knowledge and understanding of the current IBEW VDV agreement.
5‑7 years prior experience as a low voltage technician or lead technician.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid WI driver’s license and proof of auto insurance, along with a reliable method of transportation to and from the jobsite.
Ability to stand, walk, lift, pull, move, climb, and bend throughout the shift.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite, and willingness to learn new applications as needed.
