What You Will Do
Greet patients and guests presenting to hospital business office.
Assist patients with questions related to account processing, insurance coverage and resolution of patient liability.
Sort and distribute incoming business office mail.
Distinguish and triage types of correspondence and scan into system.
Complete all assigned projects in a timely manner.
Complete all Process business-related requests and correspondence from patients and insurance companies.
Complete all assigned projects in a timely manner.
Assist client and patients in all requested tasks.
Communicate to Guidehouse management areas of concern or areas of improvement.
Research and respond to all patient inquiries received by telephone and mail.
Post payments to patient accounts.
Update patient demographic information
Customer Service
Sort Mail
Process Correspondence
Cash Posting
Scanning
This position is in office at Ventura, CA Business office and three days from home.
What You Will Need
High School Diploma/GED
0-2 years relevant experience within healthcare, insurance, business office and/or revenue cycle operations.
What Would Be Nice To Have
1 year’s medical provider billing or hospital billing experience working with insurance communications.
Hospital or EOB claims emphasis
PC skills in a Windows environment are required. Knowledge and utilization of desktop applications to include Word and Excel is essential.
Ability to initiate and follow through on projects and work independently with minimal supervision required.
Experience with EPIC
LI-DNI The annual salary range for this position is $38,000.00-$63,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
