Job Responsibilities
Input daily charge statuses into tracking reports.
Submit charging equipment maintenance tickets to the service station.
Respond to email requests.
Audit charge rate reporting against online reporting.
Assist Operations and Sales departments with vehicle logistics and planning.
Coordinate the removal and storage of keys while devices charge all vehicles on the property.
Record charge percentage or miles to empty for each electric vehicle unit.
Learn and adapt to new processes promptly.
Work independently or with a team, often leading a driver; sometimes work alone.
Manage time effectively and follow multiple SOPs to meet account expectations.
Address situations where a portable generator or charger must be towed to a dead electric vehicle.
Orient and instruct new drivers; assist supervisors in assigning and directing employee work.
Communicate with supervisors or managers to ensure vehicle flow and maintain logs of stock numbers for each moved vehicle and its lot location.
Communicate schedules and assignments to crew members.
Coordinate move requirements with lot managers and quadrant coordinators.
Manage vans and transport drivers to locations; ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of employees and vehicles.
Perform daily maintenance and routine checks of vans; keep them clean and in working order.
Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling these behaviors.
Review work volumes, plan and monitor staffing levels in collaboration with management to ensure efficiency and quality.
Lead the team at the location by setting an example in behavior, championing Cox/Manheim values, and ensuring respectful treatment of all employees.
Enforce company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to a degree in a related discipline, or 5 years of experience in a related field.
Valid driver’s license; must be able to drive automatic and standard transmission vehicles.
Basic mechanical knowledge (changing tires, checking fluids, jump‑starting vehicles, etc.).
Ability to lift at least 15 lbs.
Physical stamina to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, reach, hear, and talk for extended periods.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions and tolerate elevated noise levels and car exhaust fumes.
Vision requiring clear sight of close to distant objects, color variations, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Preferred
General knowledge of automotive lot layouts and auction operations.
Knowledge of local roads, hotels, airports, and restaurants for potential customer shuttles around the auction lot.
Compensation Hourly base pay rate: $14.71 – $22.12 per hour. Compensation may vary within this range based on location and selected candidate qualifications. Additional compensation may include commission and/or incentive programs.
Benefits Employees are eligible for a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off per month and seven paid holidays annually. Additional paid time off is available for bereavement leave, time to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time, military leave, and parental leave.
