Provider Engagement Specialist - Tribal Outreach Liaison
Responsibilities
Build and maintain an adequate provider network to meet member population needs.
Monitor and report on network adequacy, recruitment, and provider relationships.
Negotiate reimbursement rates and agreements with providers.
Act as liaison between Clinical, Quality, and Network teams and provider community.
Represent Magellan at client meetings, community events, conferences, and advocacy groups.
Communicate extensively with Providers for support, issue resolution, and collaboration.
Provide orientation, education, training, and support to Magellan contracted providers.
Report on network initiatives, adequacy, trends, and recruitment.
Provide analysis and recommendations on provider problems and concerns.
Collaborate with internal teams to implement and drive regional and corporate initiatives.
Qualifications
2+ years' experience in a Customer Care/Healthcare environment with eligibility, authorization, and claims problem resolution.
2+ years' experience in network development with focus on contracting and rate negotiation.
Excellent organizational and rate negotiation skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Customer service oriented and a team player.
Must maintain provider confidentiality at all times.
Effective problem solving, excellent verbal and writing skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and data entry experience.
Education: Bachelor's in Health Administration (preferred).
Salary Range: $53,125 - $84,995.
