Job Summary: Emerson is a global leader in automation technology and software, helping customers in critical industries operate more sustainably. The IT Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of the product by managing the backlog, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with business objectives while focusing on delivering customer value. Responsibilities: • Maintain, prioritize, and refine the product backlog to the agreed business outcomes with a focus on quick value delivery. Ensure backlog items are well-defined, estimated, and ready for development. • Work closely with business partners to understand business strategy, create requirements and define success criteria. Act as the liaison between the development team and customers. • Validate product strategy with data. Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for the vertical. Ensure alignment with portfolio and organizational goals. • Prioritize features and work items based on business value, user impact, and dependencies. Define key value levers within the scope of the product and build an outcome-based roadmap. Validating how the work of the development team meets business outcomes. Set product important metrics/SLAs, measure outcomes, and adjust priorities as needed. • Collaborate with the Product Team to plan releases and manage expectations. Provide input on delivery timelines and scope. • Collaborate and work closely with appropriate key partners (i.e. Portfolio Architect, UX, etc.). Qualifications: Required: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field. • 3-5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in an enterprise IT applications environment • Understanding of master data concepts, particularly around customer data • Ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and user stories for development teams • Strong team member management skills, with the ability to align priorities across cross-functional teams • Experience managing a product backlog, prioritizing features based on business value, and ensuring on-time delivery • Skilled at leading Agile ceremonies, facilitating effective team collaboration, and driving incremental value delivery • Strong communication skills in English—spoken, written, and visual—with the ability to clearly explain complex topics in simple, easy-to-understand terms. Preferred: • Experience working with Customer Master Data platforms • Solid understanding of systems integration, APIs, and data synchronization challenges • Demonstrated ability to influence at multiple levels of the organization, including executive customers • Experience with portfolio-level coordination or delivery across multiple teams or programs • Background in IT applications • Experience in setting performance goals and measuring success for data platforms or applications Company: Emerson is an technology & engineering company providing innovative solutions for customers in industrial and residential markets.
