Director of Global Strategic Sourcing & Logistics
We are looking for a high-caliber Head of Global Strategic Sourcing & Logistics to architect and manage our end-to-end international supply network. This leadership position is designed for a tactical expert who can bridge the gap between initial infrastructure development and long‑term manufacturing excellence.
Initially focusing on supporting site development in the Greater Phoenix area , you will eventually pivot to directing full‑scale factory logistics and procurement operations.
Core Responsibilities
Network Architecture: Design and deploy scalable sourcing frameworks that prioritize risk mitigation, cost‑efficiency, and long‑term sustainability.
Organizational Alignment: Act as a key liaison between Finance, Sales, and Executive leadership to ensure procurement milestones support broader corporate KPIs.
Business Intel: Provide the executive suite with data‑driven projections, expenditure audits, and performance visibility to guide high‑level investment.
Operational Flow & Systems Control
Day‑to‑Day Governance: Direct all vital functions including order fulfillment, cost‑basis updates, delivery lifecycles, and inventory health.
Digital Integration: Take ownership of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) cycles, ensuring absolute data integrity within the corporate ERP environment.
Logistics Engineering: Optimize the movement of goods through customized distribution models that balance speed with fiscal discipline.
Global Partner Management
Contractual Stewardship: Lead high‑stakes negotiations and oversee the drafting of complex master service agreements.
Vendor Ecosystems: Cultivate high‑value relationships with international providers to guarantee consistency in quality and pricing.
Regulatory Oversight: Maintain rigorous adherence to international trade laws and internal corporate governance.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications:
Professional Tenacity: At least 10 years of advancing responsibility in sourcing, price optimization, or materials management.
Academic Foundation: Degree in a business or technical discipline (Sourcing, Ops, or Business Admin).
Technical Fluency: Advanced capability in spreadsheet modeling and presentation design; direct experience navigating enterprise‑level ERP platforms.
Leadership Gravity: A history of leading cross‑functional teams through complex organizational changes or construction‑to‑production transitions.
Global Mobility Requirements:
International Immersion: Must be available for an initial 3–6 month international residency at our overseas corporate headquarters to synchronize with global operational standards.
Recurring Travel: Ability to maintain a 10–30% international travel schedule for vendor audits and corporate collaboration.
Commuting: Flexibility to support operations across the Tempe and Peoria corridors as the facility matures into an active production site.
Preferred Assets:
Deep familiarity with SAP environments.
