Overview

A fast-growing Managed Service Provider is seeking a COO / IT Director to lead daily operations and drive scalable, efficient growth across all departments. This is a critical second-in-command role, ideal for a high-performing operations leader with a strong background in IT services, MSPs, or technology consulting firms.

You’ll work directly alongside the CEO to align teams, streamline service delivery, and turn strategic vision into tangible results. If you thrive in execution, accountability, and operational excellence—this role offers a real seat at the leadership table with room to make a lasting impact.

Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership
    • Oversee daily operations across Service Delivery, Projects, NOC/SOC, Sales Ops, and Admin
    • Implement and maintain SOPs, KPIs, and systems that ensure consistency and performance
  • Execution & Accountability
    • Lead EOS processes (L10 meetings, Rocks, Scorecard)
    • Translate vision into clear, measurable goals and drive traction across teams
  • Team Management & Alignment
    • Manage departmental leaders and foster a high-performance culture
    • Develop internal leadership and ensure alignment with company goals
    • Support budgeting, forecasting, and margin management
    • Monitor labor utilization, service delivery costs, and EBITDA performance
  • Client Experience & Delivery
    • Ensure exceptional service quality and SLA compliance
    • Standardize client onboarding, QBRs, and escalation processes
  • Process Optimization
    • Identify and remove bottlenecks across operations
    • Leverage tools like PSA (e.g., ConnectWise/N-able), RMM, and documentation platforms
  • People & Culture
    • Champion Core Values and lead hiring, onboarding, and performance strategy
    • Partner with HR to ensure alignment across people and culture initiatives

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience within an MSP or IT services environment
  • Strong operational background with hands-on experience in EOS or similar systems
  • Track record of managing cross-functional teams and delivering measurable results
  • Comfortable leading with accountability, clarity, and structure
  • Strategic thinker with a builder’s mindset and attention to execution
  • Leadership development and EOS training
