Overview

WSP is seeking a Federal Programs NAVFAC Project Director to work from our offices in Tacoma, WA or Seattle, WA . The role focuses on executing Architecture & Engineering (AE) services under Federal contracts and growing the NAVFAC program across the Northwest, Southwest, and Pacific regions.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) requirements.
  • Work with the WSP Federal Programs District Lead to forecast project ETCs accurately.
  • Review and approve proposal/project contract documents, risk and pricing.
  • Drive delivery of budgeted Net Revenue for a portfolio of projects and aligned Project Managers (PMs).
  • Review Project Risk Register, Project Execution Plan and Project Quality Plan.
  • Conduct Monthly Project Reviews and publish the project review report.
  • Manage, coach and provide skill and career development for aligned PMs.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to lead teams for groups of projects or programs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and coordinate with Project Delivery Leader and Director of Federal Property and Buildings to implement them.
  • Assist the PM and Client Account Sponsors, Leads, and/or Managers with client management and satisfaction.

Metrics & KPIs

  • Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) performance of portfolio projects.
  • Net Revenue delivered relative to the as-contracted Net Revenue of project portfolio.
  • Client management and satisfaction.
  • Aligned PM performance.
  • Operational governance, process adherence and quality.
  • Collaboration and workshare with other WSP sectors and regions.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Planning, Architecture or related field.
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience proposing on, negotiating fee proposals and delivering AE services under U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) IDIQ contracts.
  • 7+ years’ experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering/architectural teams.
  • Professional registration US licensed Architect or Engineer.
  • Ability to obtain a US Government issued Secret level Security Clearance.
  • Strong knowledge and overall understanding of Navy clients and federal budgeting.
  • Experience leading strategy and marketing for federal acquisitions.
  • Strong business development, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active US Government issued Secret level Security Clearance.

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $182,900 – $275,500
