Location: US Remote

Position Reports to: Head of Policy, Research and Analysis

Salary: 153K-194K plus bonus

Join Us: We are seeking a Senior Director of Policy, Research and Analysis with extensive health policy expertise in the life science sector. The candidate will have experience creating or advocating for policy changes at the federal, state, or commercial levels and leading Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) negotiations.

As a member of the team, the Director will monitor, analyze, curate, and present on important federal and state issues that impact our clients’ business imperatives, including drug pricing, coverage, reimbursement, and benefit design across public and private payers. Play a key role in Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policy analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage biopharma policy expertise to lead teams across projects and meet client deliverables in policy, research, and analysis.
  • Set direction and manage day‑to‑day work of managers and associates assigned to an engagement.
  • Lead internal and advisor teams to deliver client results on time and within budget.
  • Provide subject‑matter expertise to client teams to strengthen the ADVI brand with senior leadership.
  • Manage or conduct primary and secondary market research to address client/project objectives.
  • Identify emerging relationship and project risks, establish contingency plans, and manage expectations with clients and ADVI leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding needs and providing exceptional service.
  • Expand reach within existing clients, generate new business across ADVI verticals, and create new client opportunities.
  • Serve as day‑to‑day client lead on multiple clients and projects.
  • Develop and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree preferred (MPH, MS, MBA, PharmD, PhD) in health policy, public policy, health economics, healthcare management, public health, or related discipline.
  • Combination of bachelor’s degree and relevant professional experience acceptable; advanced degree may substitute for experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company, consulting firm, trade group, or advocacy organization.
  • Deep knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry and experience leading and developing teams.
  • Experience listening or advising on IRA negotiations and familiarity with pricing, policy, and manufacturer engagement under IRA provisions.

Location

Candidates can be based anywhere in the U.S., preference for Eastern or Central Standard Time zones. Candidates in Washington, DC or Austin, TX may have hybrid work options.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $154,000-$193,000 plus bonus potential. Exceptionally qualified candidates may be evaluated above this range. Benefits include:
