Accounting Transformation – Associate Director

This role supports public and private companies in enhancing the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of their accounting operations. We assess current processes and systems, identify improvement opportunities, and implement tools and automation to streamline routine tasks, enabling accounting teams to focus on strategic, high‑value contributions.
Base Pay Range
$139,000 – $224,000 per year
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or related field
- CPA a plus
- Minimum 8 years of relevant consulting or advisory experience, including audit and accounting improvement roles
- Experience with process improvement (close acceleration, record‑to‑report, procure‑to‑pay, fixed assets, order‑to‑cash)
- Experience with accounting automation technologies (Blackline, FloQast, Alteryx, Workiva, or ERP functionality)
- Passion for developing and maintaining client relationships
- Results‑oriented and capable of working in a fast‑changing environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to create compelling data stories
- Enthusiasm for participating in community service, training, recruiting, and firm events
- Travel flexibility as required by client locations
What You’ll Do
- Advise clients and develop solutions to optimize people, processes, and technology
- Manage multiple concurrent high‑quality projects (avg. 2‑6 months)
- Partner with Managing Directors on pursuits, proposals, and statements of work
- Identify revenue growth and service expansion opportunities with existing clients
- Lead research and analysis on financial, operations, and accounting issues for process optimization
- Oversee reports, presentations, and client‑facing deliverables
- Control project budgets and workstreams, ensuring on‑time delivery
- Coach junior team members and foster a collaborative team culture
