Tax Manager – Remote (California-based, occasional San Jose client meetings)
Founded over two decades ago and based in San Jose, with other offices supporting clients throughout California and across the United States, we are a full-service public accounting firm specializing in tax, consulting, and advisory services. We pride ourselves on providing high-level technical expertise with a personal touch, working closely with individuals, families, and businesses across industries.
Base Pay Range
$130,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage a diverse portfolio of tax engagements for individuals and business entities
- Advise clients on tax planning, research, compliance, M&A activities, and transfer pricing
- Review and prepare tax returns, projections, and work papers to professional standards
- Supervise and mentor staff across multiple client projects
- Conduct tax research and resolve complex tax issues
- Partner with seniors, managers, and directors to deliver exceptional client service
- Ensure projects are completed within deadlines and client expectations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting (MSA/MST preferred)
- Active CPA license preferred
- 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting
- 2+ years in a Tax Manager or Senior Tax role
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in tax planning, compliance, and consulting across multiple entity types
- Customer-service mindset with strong leadership and staff management skills
