Entry Level Mechanical Designer – Multiple Sectors
Position Overview:
As an entry‑level mechanical designer at Henderson Engineers, you will contribute your expertise to six market sectors—Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue. You’ll work alongside our sister company, Henderson Building Solutions, to deliver a client experience unlike any other in the industry. Learn more about our sectors

Key Responsibilities:
Performs calculations and designs basic engineering systems in collaboration with experienced design staff.
Prepares system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
Reviews shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.
Prepares or modifies reports, plans, and designs for projects.
Supports business development or pursuit activities.
Participates in client, company, and/or industry events to build and maintain professional relationships.
Occasionally visits job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
Seeks to fill gaps in industry and/or discipline knowledge on a continuous basis.
Maintains knowledge of common industry software, including Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office products.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, fire protection, or architectural engineering and one year of experience, or three years of experience without a degree.
Basic proficiency in engineering design, including knowledge of the A&E industry, codes, design guides, and standards.
Proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam Revu software preferred.
Understanding of HVAC design principles.
Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

New York: $75,925 – $113,887
Los Angeles: $72,191 – $108,286
Denver: $68,457 – $102,685
Philadelphia: $68,457 – $102,685
Las Vegas: $65,345 – $98,018
