As we scale, we are building a dedicated Growth function to expand our payor partnerships—starting with Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs).

Role Overview TandemStride is seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial Payor Growth Lead to own and scale our payor growth strategy. This individual will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and closing all payor partnerships, with a strong initial focus on Medicaid Managed Care Organizations.

This is a senior, hands‑on role requiring a proven payor seller who can both set strategy and execute, while serving as the face of TandemStride to executive stakeholders at health plans. The role is fully remote, with regular travel required to support in‑person meetings, relationship building, and implementation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Own the full lifecycle of payor partnerships, from prospecting through contract execution and implementation

Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for Managed Medicaid and other payor markets

Source and manage all payor opportunities for TandemStride, building and maintaining a strong pipeline

Lead complex sales cycles involving clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders at health plans

Clearly articulate TandemStride’s value proposition and ROI to payors, particularly for tech-enabled services

Relationship & Executive Engagement

Build trusted relationships with senior leaders at Medicaid Managed Care Organizations, including Medical, Quality, Population Health, and Network executives

Demonstrate executive presence in meetings, presentations, and negotiations

Represent TandemStride at industry events, conferences, and in-person payor meetings

Implementation & Partnership Management

Oversee onboarding and implementation of new payor partnerships in collaboration with internal clinical, product, and operations teams

Serve as the senior point of contact for ongoing payor relationships, ensuring strong performance, satisfaction, and expansion opportunitiesIdentify upsell, expansion, and renewal opportunities within existing payor accounts

Growth Infrastructure & Team Building

Build scalable sales and growth processes, including pipeline management, forecasting, and performance tracking

Provide input into pricing, contracting, and go‑to‑market strategy

Qualifications & Experience

7+ years of experience selling to health insurance payors, with a strong focus on Medicaid Managed Care Organizations

Demonstrated success selling tech-enabled services, healthcare services, or digital health solutions to payors

Proven track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder payor deals

Experience selling into Ohio MCOs strongly preferred; broader Medicaid experience required

Strong understanding of Medicaid, value-based care, utilization management, and population health

Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels in a growing organization

Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills

Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% as needed

Comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with significant ownership and accountability

Preferred Attributes

Experience working in early-stage or high-growth healthcare companies

Familiarity with trauma care, post-acute care, or care management solutions is a plus

Builder mindset with interest in shaping strategy, process, and team
