Sales Consultant - North Platte/McCook
Job Description Johnson Brothers is a leading family‑owned distributor of wine, spirits, and beer since 1953. The Sales Consultant position serves retail stores and manages an established sales territory, including selling, servicing, merchandising, administration, and ensuring up-to-date accounts receivable.
Position Duties
Territory Management
– Ensure consistent customer contact, plan and execute sales initiatives, and handle all customer‑related issues promptly and friendly.
Selling
– Full understanding of products and pricing schedules, make effective sales presentations, achieve assigned company objectives and grow business, and identify and nurture new accounts.
Merchandising
– Use all available POS to enhance selling efforts, focus on display, shelf position, cold boxes, counters, and other consumer touchpoints.
Servicing
– Follow necessary steps when making sales calls, perform inventory checks, communicate properly to minimize order mistakes, and properly rotate products on shelves.
Administration
– Adhere to company policies and procedures, and handle paperwork in a timely manner.
Position Qualifications
BA/BS college degree or related industry experience.
Prior route sales experience (highly preferred).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Goal‑driven and results oriented.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Reliable transportation and proof of insurance.
Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
Must live in North Platte or McCook, NE area (no relocation package).
