Responsibilities

Directly leading and working along with a crew of cabling/telecommunication technicians.

Layout work, ensuring that equipment and information are on site to meet construction schedules and deadlines.

Provide hands‑on technical and administrative direction while supervising large crews.

Lead small to large projects, demonstrating ability to manage all phases of a project.

Ensure compliance with voice, data, and security installation requirements.

Pass a drug test, MVR, and criminal history check.

Qualifications

Self‑motivated, positive in approach, professional, and able to create, develop, and implement project process improvements.

Promote company culture and mission to employees, vendors, clients, and business partners.

Act as the company liaison for interface with customer representatives.

Proven problem‑solving skills, critical thinking, and effective communication.

BICSI Certified is preferred; minimum of 5 years experience in the data/communications industry, with demonstrated knowledge of Cat 5, 6, and fiber optics including terminations.

Minimum of six (6) months supervisory and/or managerial experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project) and ability to interpret blueprints and project documents.

Must be able to work at heights, off a ladder, in confined spaces, lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs.

Must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print, and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones.

Must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.

Must meet company minimum driving standards.

Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements

At least a high school diploma or GED equivalency.

Minimum of five (5) years experience in telecommunications or a related technical field.

Minimum of six (6) months supervisory or managerial experience.

Knowledge of the universal communications color codes.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and MS Project.

Meet company minimum driving standards.
