Senior Manager, Category Management

– Capital One We are seeking a Senior Manager, Category Management to join our Enterprise Supplier Management (ESM) Team. In this role, you will manage the holistic relationship between Capital One and key third‑party suppliers, ensuring cost, risk, and performance objectives are met and identifying strategic growth opportunities. Key Responsibilities

Negotiate contracts and deals with suppliers for a fast‑paced, motivated business group. Provide problem‑solving and strategic advice to internal customers, uncovering value‑generating opportunities such as savings, efficiencies, or revenue growth. Serve as the primary point of contact for third parties and manage governance between Capital One and assigned suppliers. Build strong internal relationships with stakeholders to align on business strategy and expedite desired outcomes. Monitor and ensure successful delivery against contractual obligations and partner with risk groups to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Oversee policy requirements for all managed third‑party relationships and conduct periodic reviews and assessments. Maintain awareness of the external marketplace and execute sourcing activities when appropriate. Coach and mentor less seasoned Supplier Managers, developing their capabilities and performance. Basic Qualifications

At least 4 years of experience in Supplier Management. At least 3 years of experience in Contract Management or Deal Negotiation. At least 2 years of experience in Risk or Relationship Management. At least 3 years of people‑leadership experience. Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Supplier Management, Relationship Management or Procurement. 3+ years of experience in Risk Management. 5+ years of experience in Contract Management or Deal Negotiation. 3+ years of experience in Operations, Process or Project Management. The minimum and maximum full‑time annual salaries for this role are listed by location below. This salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within the designated locations. The actual annualized salary will be reflected in the offer letter. All locations are eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation. Sales Territory: $155,300 – $177,200 McLean, VA: $170,800 – $194,900 Richmond, VA: $155,300 – $177,200 New York, NY: $186,300 – $212,700 Wilmington, DE: $155,300 – $177,200 Capital One offers a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial, and other benefits that support your total well‑being.
