Description and Requirements Supporting commercial lines producers by completing technical resource tasks and assisting marketing specialists with new business placement.
General Description This role has two primary responsibilities: support Select Commercial Lines Producers by completing technical resource tasks required to secure new business, and assist the Select Marketing Specialist with marketing/placement of new small business with partner insurance carriers.
Responsibilities
Assist the Regional Marketing Specialist to review, input, submit, and accurately document New Business Submissions in agency management systems.
Quote online via carrier rating tools or submit to underwriter.
Complete Workers’ Compensation Experience Modification Analyses in Mod Master or other similar resource.
Complete Property Valuation Reports via Marshall and Swift or other similar resource.
Complete marketing summary outlining terms, rates, commission, bind order documents, and carrier responses including reason for declination.
Meet service standards and best practices developed by USI.
Work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal instruction.
Sales‑driven and solution‑oriented to meet production and growth goals.
Creative and proactive problem‑solving and negotiation. \ Set priorities and manage workflow for efficient, timely, and accurate work.
Minimum 3‑5 years’ experience in Commercial Property & Casualty with comprehensive understanding of all coverages, placement, underwriting and rating concepts.
Knowledge of agency management systems, workflow procedures, underwriting, sales and service processes.
Knowledge of insurance carrier systems for submission and quoting.
Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation Experience Modification Analysis Tools and Property Valuation Tools (plus).
Proficient in Word and Excel.
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Must hold a state Property & Casualty insurance license or be willing to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe.
Maintain positive relationships with production team, carriers, vendors, and other contacts.
Effective communication and collaboration to achieve USI’s business goals.
