Responsibilities
Own projects from conception to completion, serving as the main client contact and coordinating all site and shop activities.
Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed project schedules for drawings, fabrication, and delivery.
Review and interpret submittals, shop drawings, and blueprints to ensure precision and compliance.
Identify, prepare, and negotiate change orders, protecting project margins.
Proactively manage job site challenges and schedule conflicts to minimize cost impacts and back charges.
Collaborate daily with the shop floor, shipping departments, and field crews to ensure seamless workflow.
Champion job site safety, promote team communication, and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
Must‑Have:
3+ years of project management experience within the structural steel construction industry.
Skilled in reading blueprints, managing budgets, and proficient in Microsoft Office.
A strong, assertive communicator with proven conflict resolution skills.
Ability to juggle multiple projects and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
A huge plus:
Experience with Tekla EPM or similar project management software.
