Compensation Range
Hourly: $39.40 – $52.40 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)
About This Job
The main purpose of this role is to safeguard critical operations and customer trust. The coordinator will lead enterprise‑wide continuity strategies, partner with senior leadership, and ensure compliance with evolving regulatory standards.
Essential Functions
Drive the development and implementation of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) program, including Crisis Communications, Emergency Response, Application Recovery, and Branch Response.
Conduct enterprise‑wide risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies aligned with regulatory requirements.
Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes; implement standards to maintain compliance and strengthen resilience posture.
Oversee annual Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and guide business units in defining critical processes, recovery time objectives, and resource needs.
Design and execute continuity testing methodologies, including tabletop exercises, simulations, and recovery drills.
Manage business resumption sites in Olathe, KS, and St. Louis, MO, ensuring readiness for activation during disruptions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Strong knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery principles, emerging trends, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Familiarity with BCM‑related programs, tools, and emergency notification systems.
Working knowledge of information technology, cybersecurity, networks, facilities management, and physical security.
Ability to travel occasionally for disaster recovery support or exercise coordination.
Availability for 24/7 on‑call participation in crisis management or recovery events as needed.
Highly organized, detail‑oriented self‑starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and adaptability skills; inquisitive and collaborative team player.
Motivated and organized self‑starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and a positive influence aligned with our culture and core values.
Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Emergency Management, Information Systems, or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
5+ years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, or risk management required.
Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or equivalent preferred; ISO 22301 or ITIL certifications preferred.
Fusion Framework System, AlertMedia and Salesforce experience preferred.
Hybrid Schedule: In office 2 to 3 days per week.
Level of role is determined by knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.
