What You Can Expect With focus initially on a specific product line within the Zimmer Biomet portfolio, you will develop sales strategies to attain sales goals and objectives aligned with corporate growth. Assigned to a specific region within a territory, you will work in collaboration with the region’s sales representatives. Incumbents in this role will train, develop and grow to a role covering the complete portfolio of Zimmer Biomet products.
How You’ll Create Impact
Builds strong relationships with key surgeons, primary care physicians, pharmacists and related office personnel in the given region, while covering orthopedic procedures with clinical proficiency and business acumen.
Assists in building and implementing a sales plan for the assigned area, managing and tracking customer sales activity and prospective customer initiatives, achieving sales targets, reporting on sales progress and competitor and customer activities to the sales leader, and ensuring that activity is properly entered into the surgery management system to ensure flawless execution of product delivery to the customer.
Plans, coordinates and executes local educational and sales events, with the support of other internal resources, intended to augment the business and help deliver assigned sales goals.
Supports referral network of key surgeons, primary care physicians, pharmacists and related office personnel and works with those providers to educate referrals on Zimmer Biomet products.
Strictly adheres to all laws and Zimmer policies and SOPs regarding interaction with HCPs, product handling and complaints, expense reporting, sales activities and training.

In-depth understanding of customers and their requirements.
Ability to become technically proficient with the specific product line within the Zimmer Biomet portfolio.
Demonstrated ability to communicate with and influence others.
Willing and capable of carrying weights up to 50 pounds, independently.
Your Background
Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in orthopedic sales.
Or a minimum of 6 years’ proven sales experience in the medical device industry.
A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Travel Expectations
Up to 70% predominantly by car, depending on region.
Up to 20% overnight travel may be required.
This role is 100% commission-based and is $200,000 to plan + benefits.
