The Sales Manager- Leisure Properties is responsible for driving revenue across four leisure hotels through a strategic blend of outside sales activities (sales trip, inspections, trade shows, client meetings) and inside sales efforts (account maintenance, proposal development, event coordination). This role focuses on building long-term client relationships, prospecting new business, and ensuring seamless execution of group sales, functions, and events while promoting hotel amenities and services.
Responsibilities
Conduct sales trips, site inspections, and familiarization tours to showcase hotel properties.
Attend industry trade shows and networking events to generate new leads.
Travel locally to meet clients and prospects, strengthening relationships and closing deals.
Actively solicit new accounts through in-person engagement, digital outreach, phone communication, and broader market development initiatives.
Manage account maintenance through phone calls, email communication, and regular follow-ups.
Coordinate group functions via BEOs, PRS, and other documentation.
Prepare proposals, contracts, and sales reports.
Coordinate with internal teams, including F&B and the Directors of Sales, to plan events and create menus that meet client budgets and hotel cost guidelines.
Negotiate pricing within established guidelines and advise clients on maximizing space utilization.
Maintain knowledge of hotel products and competitor offerings.
Comply with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy.
All other duties as assigned.
Experience / Qualifications
2+ years of direct hotel sales experience required, focused on leisure or group markets.
1+ years of leadership experience, ideally in multi-property or regional sales.
Group sales, BEO coordination, and client relationship management experience are essential.
Experience with building and maintaining long‑term client relationships to drive revenue growth.
Proven ability to manage multiple accounts across different properties and balance inside and outside sales activities.
Strong knowledge of hotel operations, F&B services, and event planning logistics.
Ability to develop and manage budgets, apply pricing strategies, and control food & beverage costs to ensure profitability.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, both in‑person and virtual.
Experience with sales systems and tools; Visual One familiarity is a plus.
Able to travel for sales trips, trade shows, and client meetings.
Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Ability to lift 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. infrequently.
Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s)
Associate’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
