Position Overview The Pennsylvania Lottery seeks an experienced, energetic sales professional to serve a specific sales territory within the Susquehanna, Lackawanna, Pike, and Wayne County area. As a Lottery Sales Representative, you will provide product guidance and support to existing retailers while actively working with them to increase their sales. You will also recruit new retailers, educate them on the benefits of joining our retailer network, and provide strategies that will help them succeed.

Responsibilities

Seek out additional lottery license applicants while helping current and future licensed lottery retailers achieve and exceed their sales goals.

Conduct on‑site inspections to determine if prospective retailers comply with the Lottery’s accessibility program requirements.

Analyze the effectiveness of licensees in achieving sales objectives and provide ongoing training and support.

Explain lottery policies and procedures, analyze and explain statistical information, and apply marketing and sales principles.

Recommend types and locations of marketing equipment and materials, and conduct various sales and promotional activities.

Navigate a web‑based portal, use a PC and iPad effectively, read and interpret sales data, and communicate the value of Lottery products to business owners and customers.

Interact and engage players, and network with other sales representatives at retailer events.

Qualifications

Four years of progressively responsible sales or marketing work; or equivalent experience and training.

Valid motor vehicle operator's license.

Ability to lift or carry up to 40 pounds.

Eligibility to work the required schedule of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with at least one week per month of extended hours (11:30 AM to 7:30 PM).

Four or more years of sales experience and four or more years of customer service experience in a sales environment.

Compliance with prohibition guidelines regarding gambling in Pennsylvania and affiliated casinos.

Residency in Susquehanna, Lackawanna, Pike, or Wayne County with one of the specified ZIP codes.

Proficiency with web‑based portals, PC, and iPad.

Work Schedule and Additional Information

Full‑time employment, 37.5 hours per week.

Work hours: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday‑Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch break.

One week per month, hours shift to 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM.

Telework: position is home‑headquartered; employee must report to the assigned area office weekly and have a secure high‑speed internet connection.

Salary: starting annual salary of $51,971.00 (before taxes).

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility Minimum Experience and Training Requirements

Four years of progressively responsible sales or marketing work; or equivalent experience and training.

Special Requirements

Valid motor vehicle operator's license.

Additional Requirements

Must abide by prohibition guidelines regarding gambling in Pennsylvania or affiliated casinos.

Must travel to cover the designated counties; relocation not an option.

Must have four or more years of sales experience.

Must have four or more years of customer service experience in a sales environment.

Must be able to lift or carry up to 40 pounds.

Must be available for the required schedule, including extended hours once per month.

Must be able to perform essential job functions.
