Employee Benefits Account Representative, Select This remote role requires the candidate to reside near a USI office in Illinois, Wisconsin, or the St. Louis, MO area.

General Description:

Assist the account management team with the service and retention of small employee benefits clients.

Responsibilities

Assist account managers with preparation of materials for client meetings and renewals, including benefit summaries, annual renewal changes, enrollment procedures, and miscellaneous benefit changes/clarifications.

Assist with the preparation of client compensation disclosures.

Request census data from clients and gather general client information from identified carriers.

Track receipt of ID cards, booklets, and contracts.

Request contract changes and/or plan amendments as needed.

Verify accuracy of client plan documents.

Provide general administrative support for the account management team.

Develop client/carrier contact sheets.

Maintain accurate client and team information in the agency management system.

Maintain client documents in ImageRight and on the network drive.

Ensure accurate and timely response to all outstanding issues.

Respond to requests from all partners by stated timeframes.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal partners, clients, and carriers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Minimum one‑year employee benefits/insurance experience.

College degree preferred.

Customer service experience preferred.

Must hold a Life and Disability Insurance License.

Knowledge of BenefitPoint and ImageRight preferred.

Ability to set priorities and manage deadlines.

Comfortable with internet‑based programs and Microsoft Office products.

Detail oriented and prioritises accuracy.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Eager to learn new concepts and further professional development.

Open to feedback and coaching.

Ability to define problems and generate potential solutions.

Salary Range:

$50,000–$60,000. This bonus‑eligible position has a target incentive of 5%.
