About the Role The Area Asset Protection Manager, reporting to the Senior Asset Protection Manager of Retail and Sales, oversees Asset Protection, safety, and security strategies across multiple single unit locations. The preferred candidate will have comprehensive expertise in multi‑unit management, quality, compliance, safety, and shortage programs. Responsibilities include leading the team to execute the Asset Protection program effectively and collaborating with cross‑functional teams for optimal results. The ideal candidate embodies company values and effectively communicates them to both customers and employees.

Reporting directly to the Director of Retail and Sales Operations, this role will manage all aspects of Asset Protection and security strategies for WEHO (full line store) and surrounding neighborhood stores, and our Expo hub. The ideal candidate will be the unquestioned expert on all things relating to the location, function, quality, compliance, safety, and shortage program for the concept store. The ideal candidate will translate the company’s brand into the workplace for both customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities

Directly manage a team of Asset Prevention employees

Responsible for the physical security of the building, including off‑hour alarm response

Support all Asset Prevention functions for the store and help support surrounding markets as needed

Conduct all internal and external investigations and bring them to closure

Develop and manage safety and security processes and procedures, including business continuity plans

Develop and manage Asset Prevention processes and procedures, including security camera management, EAS system, and alarm system

Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws

Manage the Asset Protection Audit program

Directly manage the store’s monthly SOX compliance reporting

Engage alongside the team to support execution, problem‑solving, and continuous improvement

Minimum Requirements

5+ years of retail Asset Prevention management experience

Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to influence, coach, and hold teams accountable

Proven ability to partner effectively with senior leaders, field management, and cross‑functional stakeholders

Highly self‑directed professional capable of operating independently while managing multiple priorities

Comprehensive knowledge of physical security systems, including CCTV, EAS, intrusion alarms, access control, and life‑safety protocols

Experience building, developing, and leading high‑performing Asset Protection teams

Exceptionally organized with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast‑paced, evolving environment

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document findings and present recommendations

Demonstrated experience conducting investigations related to theft, fraud, ORC, and internal dishonesty

Proven ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable to performance and compliance standards

Experience in influencing without direct authority and partnering with Operations, HR, Legal, and Store Leadership

Ability to lead through change and maintain engagement during periods of transformation or heightened risk

Comfortable learning and adapting to new technologies and AP platforms

Ability to travel regularly within the assigned area

The expected salary range for this role is $77,878.00–$90,000.00. Pay is determined by location, skills, experience, market and internal parity. In addition, employees may be eligible for bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
