Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic
Construction Sales Professional
to join our growing team. This role is perfect for a results-driven individual who combines construction knowledge with exceptional relationship-building skills to help homeowners transform their properties. You'll be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and driving sales of our comprehensive home improvement services. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential construction sales, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping homeowners achieve their renovation goals while building long-term client relationships. Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
Develop and execute territory sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and community engagement Generate leads through door-to-door canvassing, trade shows, home shows, and digital marketing initiatives Conduct in-home consultations and property assessments to understand customer needs and project scope Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners through exceptional service and regular communication Guide clients through the entire sales process, from initial consultation through project completion Provide expert consultation on roofing, siding, windows, doors, decks, and home remodeling solutions Assist customers with insurance claim processes and documentation for storm damage repairs Technical Sales & Project Management
Conduct thorough property inspections and damage assessments Prepare detailed, accurate estimates and proposals tailored to customer needs and budgets Present compelling sales presentations showcasing our solutions, services, materials, and craftsmanship Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth project transitions that align with customer expectations Monitor local market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments Participate in community events, trade shows, and networking functions to build brand awareness Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, leads, and customer interactions in CRM system Contribute to company growth through referral generation and customer satisfaction initiatives Qualifications
Required
3-5 years of sales experience in residential construction, home improvement, or related field Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and presentation abilities Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client visits and property inspections Professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills Results-oriented mindset with ability to work independently Preferred
Construction or building trades background (roofing, siding, carpentry experience a plus) Experience with insurance claims and restoration work Strong product knowledge of roofing, siding, windows, and general construction materials and processes Knowledge of local building codes and permit requirements Familiarity with GAF, CertainTeed, or other major manufacturer products Previous experience with in-home sales and consultative selling Ability to climb ladders and inspect roofs safely Proficiency with tablets, smartphones, and measurement apps Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities Self-motivated with excellent time management skills Customer-focused approach with integrity and professionalism What We Offer
