Freelance Interpreter – Indianapolis, IN (Independent Contractor, 1099)
LTC is an interpreting agency seeking contract interpreters in and around
Indianapolis, IN . The role fills appointments on an as‑needed basis. The ideal interpreter has at least 3 years of experience across medical, social work, education, workplace settings and others.
What you get to do
Act as a liaison using the client’s preferred language.
Accurately interpret appropriate to the setting and audience.
Comply with all state, local, and federal laws and regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality of medical information, including HIPAA.
Requirements
Interpreting certifications (preferred).
Minimum of 2 years medical interpreting experience (preferred).
Minimum of 1–2 years interpreting experience overall (required).
Ability to keep accurate records.
As an Independent Contractor Interpreter, you will not be an employee of LTC; you will function as an independent contractor, providing language interpretation services on an IRS Form 1099 basis.
