Assistant Residential Manager

Latham Centers, a nationally recognized leader in supporting individuals with complex special needs, including Prader‑Willi syndrome, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant Residential Manager. In this role, you will assist the Residential Manager in providing on‑site support and monitoring all policies and procedures related to direct care services. You will help ensure a positive, healthy, and safe living and working environment for the individuals we serve.
Location:
Wareham, MA
Compensation:
$48,000–$55,000 annually (based on experience)
Schedule:
Tuesday–Saturday: 11:00 am–7:00 pm
Key Responsibilities
Promote a positive and safe living/work environment by enforcing health and safety standards and reporting any risk management issues
Coordinate housekeeping duties and chores to maintain a clean, healthy, homelike environment
Manage the residential budget, including food purchasing, petty cash, and other residential expenses
Responsible for timely payroll reporting
Supervise direct care, case management, and vocational staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
Coordinate and schedule program staff to ensure required ratios are met, minimizing overtime
Support all functions necessary to maintain accreditation and compliance with state regulatory agencies
Coordinate and document medical needs and services of individuals
Oversee ISP service planning and maintain accurate clinical and medical files
Document outcome measurement data (ISPs, life skills assessments, evaluations)
Maintain positive relationships with parents/guardians, DDS staff, neighbors, and other professional community supports
Provide after‑hours on‑call emergency support and staffing coverage
Facilitate and document regular staff meetings and supervision
Provide crisis intervention and implement proactive behavioral interventions when needed
Maintain all required Therap GER documentation and HCSIS follow‑up reporting for major incidents and restraints
Maintain working knowledge of crisis management, safety plans, and emergency procedures
Perform additional duties as assigned by the program director
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred
Supervisory and/or program development experience is a plus
Valid driver’s license
Ability to handle children/individuals in crisis safely and with compassion
MAP certification for medication administration (attained upon hire)
