Job Summary
As a Grooming Salon Leader, you will lead salon operations, manage team members, deliver expert grooming services, and drive salon performance. Competitive pay and benefits.
Essential Functions
Oversee day‑to‑day salon operations, optimize scheduling, manage inventory and staffing. Recruit, hire, train and supervise a team of groomers, providing coaching and performance evaluations. Create grooming schedules that optimize capacity and accommodate customer demand. Monitor salon performance metrics such as revenue, customer satisfaction and partner productivity, analyze data and develop action plans. Collaborate with store management to achieve sales targets and salon objectives, implementing strategies to drive growth and expand the customer base. Interact professionally with pet parents, provide exceptional customer service and address grooming inquiries. Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning and gland cleaning, according to pet parent’s instructions and company policies. Ensure the well‑being and safety of every animal in the salon and monitor pets for signs of discomfort or injury. Perform quality checks to maintain a clean and safe grooming area and sanitize grooming tools and equipment.
Education & Experience
2 or more years as a professional groomer or completion of a grooming training program. Strong leadership skills with 1‑2 years of salon management experience preferred. High‑school diploma or GED preferred. Expert knowledge of dog breeds, grooming requirements, common health issues and behaviors. Expert‑level proficiency in breed‑specific cuts and styling techniques. Genuine passion for animals and desire to continue a career in pet grooming.
Work Environment
Indoors in the grooming salon. Requires bending, kneeling, lifting up to 30 pounds, standing for long periods, exposure to heights using a ladder or support tools. The work environment can be noisy and wet.
Salary Range
Salary Range:
$15.00 - $22.50 per hour.
