Scope of Responsibility This role is responsible for cross‑selling and business development for Applied Automation into defined strategic accounts by delivering solutions focused products of robotics, vision, motion control and supporting IIoT adoption. The focus is on core partners shared nationally among Applied Automation companies.
Job Duties
Research, evaluate and establish contacts with engineering and project resources in existing strategic accounts and leads outside current customers. Collect data, analyze potential, work with the customer on feasibility and understand opportunities and benefits.
Lead presentations to potential national accounts on Applied Automation capabilities.
Act as the liaison between AIT service centers, Applied Automation companies and customers.
Assist automation companies and communicate with service center regional and area management teams.
Coordinate sales engineers in selling to local customer facilities; keep corporate customer advised of developments; handle complaints, work service center, subsidiary, and customer personnel to correct problems and meet customer needs.
Coordinate automation projects, cost estimations, and proposals while communicating successes to the corporate team and the entire AIT organization.
Create and maintain national accounts list and goals for each company.
On‑site and in‑office customer application consulting driving all life‑cycle stages from concept to consultation to securing the order through the location subsidiary and service center teams.
Refine solution offerings and coordinate integrator partners as needed to serve customer interests.
Assist in other operational issues as assigned or directed by supervisor, as necessary.
Maintain accurate, complete and timely records of business transactions, budget and financial oversight and safeguarding of assets for area of responsibility.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
5 or more years of experience in a relevant position and industry.
