Account Executive – Wisconsin Based
Charles Taylor is an independent, global provider of professional services to the insurance industry. We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our Third‑Party Administration team. The candidate must have 5+ years of experience in the commercial health insurance industry, specific to employee benefits, and must live in Wisconsin.
Job Summary The Account Executive will support the sales and service of the health plan for school districts, municipalities and counties participating in the Wisconsin County Health Plan (WCA GHT) throughout the State of Wisconsin.
Essential Functions
Proactively manages relationships with clients and agents/brokers in all aspects, including:
Manages the renewal process for assigned clients.
Proposes appropriate plan design based on deductibles, copayments, drug tiers and acceptable design features.
Produces and reviews utilization reports with clients; educates members on benefit claims, eligibility, interpretation and other plan requirements unique to the GHT.
Obtains plan documents and amendments as necessary for clients.
Responds to customer service requests from members, including enrollment questions, claims investigations, change requests and ID cards.
Evaluates department processes and procedures for improved efficiencies and makes appropriate recommendations.
Assists with initial client implementations, including preparing enrollment forms, attending employee information sessions and answering questions.
Responds to formal requests for proposals (RFPs) for prospective clients and provides formal presentations to boards or committees if required.
Collects underwriting risk information and discusses with corporate management to determine underwriting risk and to assist in pricing for clients.
Represents the GHT at conferences and trade shows.
Attends GHT Board meetings as requested.
Participates in social events scheduled for the department and represents the GHT.
Maintains and grows relationships with vendors who have programs that add value to the GHT.
Approximate 25–40% of the role involves travel within the state; overnight stays are typically required for conventions and occasionally for client meetings.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in the full Microsoft Office suite, including Teams, with intermediate Excel skills.
Demonstrated ability to maintain strong retention and long‑term relationships.
Solid understanding of insurance benefit principles, terminology, eligibility, coordination of benefits, plan documents, health insurance renewal processes and pooling concepts.
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across teams and stakeholders.
Adaptability to evolving technologies and the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex insurance information to large audiences.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in insurance or finance or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the commercial health insurance industry, specific to employee benefits.
Preferred Education and Experience
Professional certifications such as HCSA (Healthcare Customer Service Associate), RHU (Registered Health Underwriter) or HIA (Health Insurance Associate).
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
State of WI Insurance License – Life and Health designation.
