Responsibilities

Gather customer complaint details and expectations.

Perform vehicle walk‑around inspection, verify vehicle information.

Connect to J-Pro and perform on‑the‑spot vehicle diagnostics. Print report. Refer to service history (e.g., SIR), recommend additional needed service.

Advise customers on vehicle care and the value of maintaining their vehicles per manufacturer specifications.

Write up customer’s vehicle problems accurately on a service input card, verify customer information, obtain signature.

Establish “promised time” based on shop workflow and communicate with foreman.

Establish customer’s payment method and obtain credit approval if necessary.

Create repair order in the business system, file it, and secure service input card and signatures in a standardized repair order jacket.

Check progress of repair throughout the day and contact customers regarding any changes to estimate or promised time, explaining cost and time requirements in detail, and obtain proper authorization before additional repairs.

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

One year service experience; or equivalent experience and/or education.

Appropriate manufacturer training.

Valid CDL license.

Driving record that allows insurability by the company’s carrier.

Minimum Pay Rate: USD $60,000.00 / Yr.

Maximum Pay Rate: USD $75,000.00 / Yr.
