Our Wholesale Solutions team at AXA XL, poised for growth in the dynamic world of Excess and Surplus lines, offers a unique opportunity to be part of an innovative team that has been unlocking the future since 1978, creating teams that excel at innovation, expanding geographically, building new products, and serving our wholesale partners with excellence.

Responsibilities

Pre‑underwrites, evaluates risk, and assesses completeness of the underwriting package before underwriter review. Communicate directly with Brokers on behalf of the Underwriters to collect account and insured information necessary for risk analysis.

Perform and apply knowledge of line‑of‑business specific product underwriting rules and/or guidelines for pre‑analysis support of submission in preparation of further analysis for quoting stage.

Develop initial pricing, basic coverage structuring, quotation, and binder packages of the risk on behalf of the Underwriter.

Collaborate effectively with Underwriters, Brokers, Reinsurers, and internal units within AXA XL to manage the status and workflow of multiple tasks and accounts.

Communicate account status to ensure completion of outstanding subjectivities needed to execute policy issuance and premium collection as part of bound accounts.

Calculate base rating and apply experience modifications as part of underwriting package completed by Underwriting Support Unit for Underwriter review.

Manage the workflow of multiple tasks and maintain a detailed understanding of status of various tasks owned by Underwriters, Brokers, Reinsurers, and internal network.

Collaborate and correspond verbally and in written format with internal and external contacts across the country, keeping in mind differences in time zones, to achieve a high level of service and meet client expectations.

A bachelor’s degree is required.

Salary U.S. base salary range: $66,600—$105,100 USD. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience, and location. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues’ pay.
