Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
Source, evaluate, and manage a robust supplier base for raw materials and components.
Negotiate favorable contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers.
Ensure timely procurement of materials to support production schedules and minimize downtime.
Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality or supply.
Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supplier performance to mitigate risks.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to optimize material specifications and inventory levels.
Recommended Qualifications
5+ years of progressive purchasing and supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a management role.
Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chain dynamics.
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to drive cost reductions, optimize inventory, and improve supplier performance.
Bonus Qualifications
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Experience with advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis and supplier performance.
Proven experience in global sourcing and navigating international trade regulations.
APICS CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) certification.
Fluency in a second language relevant to international supply chains (e.g., Mandarin, Spanish, German).
