Overview The Customs Compliance Specialist is responsible for analyzing associated customs documentation and policies for regulatory compliance. Review and enforce goods classifications and associated tariff codes. Report customs regulations violations to appropriate agencies. Serve our clients and suppliers providing top tier customer service.
Responsibilities
Audit and complete entry files, POAs and duty payments via ACH.
Onboard new customers with POAs and work with clients on HTS codes.
Review documentation and assess accuracy, verifying country of origin/export, IOR, and terms of sale and value to ensure that compliance and federal regulations requirements are achieved.
Reporting and managing our statement processing on a daily basis.
Audit commercial documents, apply harmonized tariff schedule code for accurate duty assessment and to ensure all federal requirements are met.
Process file breakdown, classifying data entry, photocopying, scanning and assembling entries.
Provide customer service to clients and their suppliers and maintain revenues from the client base and contracted vendor.
Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.
Daily follow up on documentation discrepancy issues; troubleshoot and communicate effectively with customers and foreign origins.
The wage range for this position is $60,810.00 to $91,210.00 and may vary based on geography and relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.

A minimum of 3 years of customer service/general office data entry experience.
Customs Brokerage License strongly preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Ability to project a professional image to customers and represent AIT in a positive manner.
