They oversee the progress of construction, report to the construction head and clients, and manage the construction crew and their work.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Providing support and leadership to workers to achieve project goals and clearly communicate job responsibilities.
Evaluating crew performance and recommending changes to improve efficiency, including work methods or equipment.
Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Coordinating with project managers, superintendents, site engineers, and contractors.
Preparing documentation such as staff attendance records and crew details.
Managing contract documentation, including amendments and negotiations with project professionals.
Physical Demands
Working near moving machinery and tools, requiring manual dexterity and coordination; able to move quickly and sustain stamina.
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects over 50 lbs., utilizing various muscle groups to support prolonged effort without fatigue.
Ability to stand, walk for extended periods, and climb ladders.
