Reliability Maintenance Manager
to lead the maintenance and reliability operations at our state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facility in Proctor, West Virginia. This critical leadership role offers the opportunity to serve as the Equipment Reliability Champion, overseeing sophisticated equipment including turbines, compressors, centrifuges, high‑pressure steam systems, and DCS process control technology. Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise maintenance and reliability personnel, providing technical guidance, training, and performance management
Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance reliability strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices
Serve as Equipment Reliability Champion, providing technical support for equipment selection, troubleshooting, and optimization projects
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure equipment reliability and workforce effectiveness
Ensure equipment availability through preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and reliability‑centered maintenance (RCM) techniques
Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective action implementation to address equipment failures and performance issues
Plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimize production disruptions and maximize equipment uptime
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including engineering, production, quality assurance, and supply chain to drive operational excellence
Oversee spare parts inventory management, optimizing stock levels to reduce carrying costs and minimize downtime
Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM), health, safety, and environmental regulations
Develop and manage maintenance budgets, forecast expenditures, and identify cost optimization opportunities
Implement continuous improvement initiatives including Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs
Train apprentices and team members in maintenance reliability best practices
Manage engineering and construction programs for facility expansion and de‑bottlenecking projects
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering required
10+ years of maintenance and reliability engineering experience in petrochemical or chemical manufacturing plants
Process Safety Management (PSM) experience required
Managerial or supervisory experience strongly preferred
Extensive hands‑on experience with large turbines, compressors, and production equipment used in continuous chemical or petrochemical operations
Proven expertise in preventive maintenance programs for critical rotating equipment
Strong leadership and team management skills with ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams
Advanced problem‑solving abilities with demonstrated experience resolving complex equipment challenges
In‑depth knowledge of maintenance best practices, reliability methodologies, and modern maintenance techniques
Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and maintenance management software
Excellent analytical skills with quick decision‑making capabilities Comprehensive understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in chemical manufacturing
Strong collaboration and communication skills with ability to work effectively across departments
Ability to work in plant environments with exposure to chemicals, machinery, and varying temperatures
