About The Property Manager Position The property manager is responsible for the overall operations of the property, ensuring efficient operations, overseeing supplier contracts, maintenance, lease administration, and monthly reporting. This position also creates a positive experience for the residents, associates, and clients.
Responsibilities
Manage day‑to‑day operations, resident satisfaction, full resident lifecycle activities (lease administration, rent collection, delinquency management), property P&L, and marketing in accordance with company standards.
Provide excellent customer service experience and meet client expectations.
Recruit, interview, provide corrective feedback, and hire associates.
Lead and communicate a shared vision, coach and develop associates.
Execute the strategic marketing plan to attract and retain residents.
Understand operations guidelines within the property management agreement.
Respond to resident complaints, serve as liaison with corporate office regarding common area maintenance and enforcement of rules.
Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, and personal networks.
Organize and implement site natural disaster and emergency evacuation plans.
Manage safety records, loss claims, and risk management initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Two to three years of experience in property management required.
One to two years of direct management experience required.
Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities required.
Real estate license preferred or may be required in some locations.
Knowledge of Salesforce.com preferred.
Prior experience in Yardi Voyager or another equivalent system preferred.
Skills and Requirements
Very strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of management.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Sensitivity to confidential matters required.
Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment with urgency.
Ability to relay technical concerns with adequate detail, quickly and accurately.
Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Ability to use general office equipment.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle situations with difficult people.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
