Opportunity Overview
The GAL Volunteer Recruiter role offers opportunities in marketing, community outreach, volunteer and pro‑bono attorney recruiting, and training. You will engage with diverse community partners including agencies, nonprofits, faith‑based groups, businesses, and media.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain compliance with statewide administrative standards and volunteer management procedures.
Recruit, screen, train, and retain volunteers and pro‑bono attorneys for the circuit.
Assist in recruiting mentors for youth aging out of foster care.
Develop and execute a continuous recruitment plan, collaborating with the volunteer recruitment team.
Plan and deliver community education programs, including public speaking, written communications, and social media content.
Maintain an accurate database of prospective candidates and document all recruitment activities.
Track recruitment efforts on a monthly basis and stay informed of innovative recruiting techniques.
Attend community events and recruitment seminars as required.
Assist with the screening, training, and ongoing development of new volunteers.

Education and Experience Requirements
Valid Florida Driver’s License.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, business, psychology, or communications.
Minimum two years of relevant experience in direct sales/marketing or nonprofit community outreach involving volunteer recruiting and management.
(An exception for the required education and experience may be granted by the Executive Director or designee.)
