Sales Executive - Nutritional Industry

Our client is a supplier of value-added functional ingredients sold to manufacturers of Nutritional Supplements and Healthy Food products. We are looking to hire a Sales professional (Business Development) who has experience calling on companies that use nutritional ingredients in their formulations. We desire to hire someone who has been calling on this segment for at least the past 3 years and enjoys providing solutions for customers. This is a remote sales position. Work from home and also travel to visit with customers one-on-one, attend trade shows, and attend sales meetings. Our client is a growing and responsible supplier that is also heavily involved in the Pharmaceutical space. There is ample room for advancement and professional growth. You can live anywhere in UTAH for this job.
Responsibilities
Manage sales across an assigned geographic territory to promote B2B agreements and further develop business in Southern California
Identify and engage prospective clients through research, direct approaches, attending conferences, recommendations, and other methods to target potential business
Develop sales plans that deliver local appeal based on in-depth knowledge of the market and competition
Work with management to set achievable regional targets and oversee the measurement and effectiveness of projects
Develop regional launch plans for new product releases, ensuring partners are apprised, engaged, and supportive
Quote and negotiate prices and terms. Navigate through the client´s procurement process
Report weekly on regional activities and performance
Requirements
Proven success at selling B2B Nutraceutical ingredients at customers within the assigned region
Results oriented, customer focused and with an effective and disciplined sales process, having the ability to cultivate relationships at all levels
A degree in Chemistry or Nutrition is desired, but not required
Master commercial process, from lead generation to data management in our CRM, showing proactivity to define and execute the right sourcing/bidding procedure in order to meet client’s needs for new projects
Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and remotely (Home office).
Willingness to travel as the position will require customers´ visits, tradeshows and face to face meetings
Must be a team player, open to collaborate with the rest of the company and enjoying being part of an established organization
Excellent communication skills, used to interact effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders
Good organizational skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and SalesForce.
Able to maintain the highest levels of integrity
Experience
3+ years of experience selling Ingredients, chemicals, and/or raw materials to manufacturers of Nutraceuticals and Nutritional Supplements, Gummies, custom blends, etc.
An expert regarding the territory, the local market drivers, and the competition
Experience driving regional specific strategy and accountability for sales
A bachelor’s degree is desired but not required
