About the Board Since 1971, the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of high-quality, essential, and community-based services to citizens of the Peninsula living with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.
Responsibilities
Greet visitors, respond to phone inquiries, collect and process rent payments, and post transactions into Yardi Voyager.
Coordinate tenants’ annual and interim recertification appointments and gather necessary documentation.
Maintain current, confidential resident records.
Conduct semi-annual housekeeping inspections to uphold property standards.
Assist the Property Manager with resident concerns to ensure respectful and timely resolution.
Prepare move-in packets, distribute notices, and collaborate with maintenance vendors to support property needs.
Working under the supervision of the Property Management Specialist, this position provides the opportunity to contribute to the success of affordable housing programs while building valuable organizational, technical, and communication skills in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
At least one year of experience in administrative support in property management.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with property management software.
Valid Virginia driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
The selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test, and employment reference checks.
