Physical Therapy Assistant- Ortho/Sports
Under the general supervision of the Team Leader and Director of Sports Medicine and the clinical supervision of individual physical therapists, the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides treatment according to a physical therapy plan of care. The PTA treats patients in accordance with the laws and rules that govern the practice of physical therapy in the state of Ohio. The PTA, Sports Medicine provides physical therapy interventions for a patient population comprised predominantly of active individuals with orthopedic conditions. Minimum Education Required: 2-Year College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Qualifications: Completion of approved education curriculum as a physical therapy assistant State of Ohio licensure. Maintains state licensure as PTA. Demonstrates competence in clinical and interpersonal skills to meet essential job functions. Meets mandatory health and education requirements. Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
